Tryout InformationNAL Tryout at LaGrave Field
The North American League has announced a league-wide open tryout for free agents and aspiring professional baseball players on April 28th-29th at LaGrave Field in Fort Worth, Texas. In addition to the North American League, whose teams employ over 400 professional baseball players collectively, Area scouts from all MLB teams and the Major League Scouting Bureau have been provided credentials. Last year, the same tryout event saw 22 players walk away with professional contracts, including right handed pitcher Michael Olmsted, who received an offer from the Boston Red Sox after impressing VP of Player Personnel Allard Baird. In addition to the Red Sox, several MLB teams sent area scouts and professional scouts to attend. This year, the North American League expects to have an equally impressive turn out of MLB scouts and independent league managers. Players may be offered contracts at the conclusion of the tryout. Major league teams that have requested participation by their scouting organizations are able to sign players at any time during the tryout.
